Insurance & Billing
Patients on premium assistance can claim part of the cost of their massage therapy treatment through their British Columbia Medical Services Plan (MSP). Patients are entitled to 10 total visits per calendar year to supplementary health care providers and will be responsible to supplement the remaining cost of their visit. If you are eligible then MSP will pay for $23 towards your treatment. Many of the practitioners at Riverside can direct bill your extended health plan such as Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, Manulife, Greenshield, CanadaLife and more. Patients may have extended health benefits through a workplace group insurance plan that covers massage therapy by an RMT. Coverage varies and so does the requirement of a physician’s referral. Please check with your plan. Most of the RMTs at Riverside can direct bill ICBC if you have a claim. Please inform reception when booking if direct billing is important to you. WorksafeBC covers injured workers for their visits to a Registered Massage Therapist. If your claim has been accepted for coverage, you will not have to pay for the costs of your treatments. You will be required to bring in your claim number for your first appointment. We require confirmation prior to booking your first appointment that your claim has been accepted for massage therapy. RCMP are covered for massage therapy at no cost to the member. You will be required to fill out a form at your initial visit. We are able to bill the full cost for treatment directly to the DVA for veterans. Please notify reception upon booking your first treatment if you are a veteran.

Clinic hours vary, but generally we will be able to take patients Monday through Friday 8am to 9pm and Saturdays 9am to 6pm. Reception hours are 9am-5:30pm Monday to Saturday. Reception lunch is 2:00pm-2:30pm.

Treatment Approach
Riverside Massage Therapy is the realization of that goal. Damon discovered massage therapy in his teens as a way to deal with the sprains, strains and pains that came with two of his favourite pursuits: hockey and basketball. He is passionate about helping people with their posture and structure as well as their overall health and wellness. Laura works with each of her patients to achieve a healthy lifestyle free from the restrictions of pain and injury. She has developed effective, patient-focused treatment plans for conditions ranging from Temporal-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) syndrome and tendonitis to workplace and sports injuries. Sarah believes homecare that is customized to each patient’s individual lifestyle is an important tool in achieving treatment goals. Taryn aims to make massage therapy an overall enjoyable experience. She believes that tolerable levels of pain or discomfort may be beneficial at times during treatment but should be mixed with some enjoyable modalities and levels of pressure as well. Kyla aims to create a safe and comfortable environment to help patients meet their treatment goals. Stephanie enjoys creating a comfortable and compassionate treatment environment and is committed to providing treatments that are effective for her patients personal healthcare needs and objectives. Savannah works with patients from all walks of life and uses a combination of multiple modalities to help patients get back to the things they enjoy most!

There are no stairs and it’s wheelchair accessible. All of our parking is free and close. If transit is how you travel then there are bus stops near the clinic as well.
